Game Changer

Hello beautiessss
First of I want to point out that babe and I shot these photos in a -33 degree weather!! It was absolutely freezing but I absolutely love how the photos turned out. I think this was the fastest we shot photos for the blog because it was just way too cold to even care how the pictures turned out but once we warmed out and checked the pictures, we actually really liked how they all turned out. Second, these Irresistible Me hair extensions are a complete game changer for me. These ones are from their Royal Remi Hair line in the colour royal ash blonde. I absolutely love the colour and length of these. I got them in the 22 inch length and I loveeeee the effect this length of hair gives to my overall look. Hence why they are a true game change for me. The colour also gives me a really nice ombre look that I absolutely love. My hair naturally has a light ash blonde tips at the ends so the extensions blend well because of that. I just feel so much more confident with these extensions. They add great volume to my hair too which I have always wanted because I've always had very flat, straight hair. I've had trouble growing out my hair too because I style my hair almost daily so I do put a lot of heat damage to my hair, unfortunatelyl. So easily having the option to have the hair of my dreams is amazing. I love these extensions because the clips are very durable so they don't hurt my head or give me a headache like some other hair extensions I've tried in the past. I also love them because they are lightweight so they are very comfortable to wear and doesn't feel too heavy on my head. I highly recommend these hair extensions because they are very high quality and is truly a confident booster for me.

The combination of this outfit is one of my favourites of all time. It's easy and comfortable, which is always my go-to. Sweater dress and knee-high boots and boom the outfit is complete. Super easy. I'm not usually a beanie person either, but I loved the pom pom's on this beanie and fell in love with it. I thought it was so cute and looks great with an outfit like this. Beanies are also great for second or third day hair and for lazy girls like me haha.

New Year, New...

Hello beautiessss
Happy 2017 fellow readers! I hope you all had a wonder holiday season and an amazing start to the new year so far. I hope the new year inspires you all to make improvements and better yourself from last year. I know it's definietly my goal for 2017! Now, I'm not one who has always made new goals for the start of the new year because I never really believed in waiting for a new year to make goals for myself. I have always believed if you wanted something done, work for it right there and then instead of waiting for a new year to start. However, for some odd reason, the start of this new year in particular has inspired me to re-think some of my goals and really think of what I want out of 2017. Last year was filled with blessing for me - new job, bought a house with my boyfriend, worked out 5 days a week, and travelled as much as I can. All these things are so great and I feel so thankful for all these accomplishments. However, since I had just graduated university November of 2015, my mind set of 2016 was just getting my feet on the ground and having it all. However, being on this constant grind all year stopped me from being social and spending a lot of time with my family and friends. I rarely made time for my best friends in 2016 and it's a shameful feeling. This year, I want to focus on living in the moment and spend more meaningful time with my family and friends. Also, I want to be more open to making new friends and encourage myself to approach strangers that could turn into friends. Moreover, I want to focus more on my blog this year. I really want to be more consistent on here. Blogging really is my biggest passion, therefore, blogging includes one of the things I love that I need to make more time for this year. I want a healthier work-life balance. Last year my everyday routine was the exact same - go to work, go to the gym, go home, and do it all over again the next day and the next day and the next. It became a boring routine, rather than a happy lifestyle. I'm excited for 2017 and I'm looking forward to how I'm able to accomplish these goals of mine.

This outfit is one of my favorite go-to's. It's easy, comfortable, and still presentable. A good pair of jeans that fit well is a must. American Eagle jeans are the only ones I can wear because they fit me the best. Their jean sizes come in all different ranges but the best part is they come in long, regular, and short. This is great for me because I'm only 5" and I buy my jeans in short so I can avoid having to get them hemmed. Another staple in my closet is this leather jacket. I bought it from H&M two years ago, and I wear it religiously up to this day. It pairs well with anything and everything so I love throwing this over my outfits. This scarf really adds a comfortable vibe to my outfit and I love these looks. I love it because it's multi-purpose. It keeps me warm and adds a nice pop to my outfit.

Skincare Routine

Hello beautiesssss
My skincare routine is one that I take quite seriously. I have always believed that your makeup only looks as good as the surface that it's on. Therefore, my skincare regime is very important to me. I like to try on different products religiously so I can find ones that work the best for me. However, my most recent routine features some of the best products that I have used for my skin so far. I use the same products for my morning and night routine, but my night routine is a little bit more hefty just because I really want the products to sink into my skin while I sleep. Plus, I always feel I can sleep so much better when my face feels clean and refreshed.

For Cleansing
Cleansing my face, in my opinion, is the most important step because I love my makeup and I do wear a lot of it everyday. As much as I love it however, it is important for me to make sure I am removing ALL of it at the end of the night. In order to achieve that, I love using the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm to remove my makeup. This kind of technology is super interesting to me because it is in the formula of a balm inside the packaging and once you put it on your face and start rubbing it around, it turns into an oil that just melts off every trace of makeup on your face. It works so well! It removes my foundation, concealer, mascara, eyeshadows, and even my lip stains. I find that even though it turns into an oil formula it's still non-greasy and doesn't leave my face oily.  My face always feels so clean after using this. Next, I will use my Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towlettes in the blue packaging to remove any makeup that the balm didn't remove but most of the time the towelettes come off white still meaning the balm has removed it all. Next, I will cleanse my face my using my Nivea Exfoliating Scrub and/or Soya C Clarifying Cleanser by Pharma Skincare. I like to interchange between these two cleansers and they both work so well. I use both with my exfoliating tool scrub. This one is very similar to the Luna 2, which is very popular and dermatologist recommended.

For Toning & Moisturizing
Once my face is clean, I immediately apply my Soya C Purifying Toner. This toner contains vitamins that enriches the skin with nutrients. My face always feels super refreshed after using this product. Then I will apply my Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration by First Aid Beauty. This is by far the best moisturizer I have ever used for my skin because I have normal/dry skin. It is super rich and hydrating and very long lasting as well. Next, I like to apply my Eye Lift Firming Treatment by Murad. It makes my eyes looks much more lifted, which is great because I suffer from really bad eye bags. So these help make me look much more awake when I wake up. Next, I like to apply my Maracuja Oil by Tarte. I like to apply this last because I want to make sure it sinks into my skin while I sleep and I find that when I wake up, my skin looks much more hydrated, even-toned, and non-greasy.

Face masks are essential to my skincare routine. Although, I am religious about my morning and night routines, face masks are a vital addition for my skin. I use masks every three to four days and I like to always switch it up. My favourite exfoliating mask is the Clear Improvements Active Charcoal Mask by Origins. I have been using it for about two years now and I find that it really does clear my pores and dissolves my impurities. I absolutely love it. I also like to use Acnecare Microepidermal mask stick by Pharma Skincare. I like to apply this on my breakouts and I find that it just clears it much faster than usual. I also like to use my spot treatment by Kate Somerville. It works really well to dry out the breakout so it makes it heal and diffuse the breakout quickly. Since these masks are exfoliating, I like to make sure I use a hydration mask as well and my favourite for that is the Multiberry Yogurt Repairing Mask by Laneige. Its super soothing and makes my skin feel much more firm and plump.

I hope this post gives you some ideas for some products that you could use to add into your daily skincare routine. I have normal skin with some dry spots so these are some of the products that has worked the best for me. Thank you to Pharmaskincare for allowing me to feature some of your products for my post.

Orange you glad ...

Hello beautiesss

This burnt orange duster trench is perfect for this time of the year! And if it's looking very familiar to you, it might be because you saw a different colour of it from this post. I had mentioned that I bought this trench in three different colours because I just love it! It's so comfortable to wear and makes any of my outfits look trendy. And yes I know, three outfit posts in a row with the same boots but I truly do love these! But let's talk about the piece that made this outfit what it is and that is these blue sunnies! These are the Quay x Desi Perkins collection in the blue High Key's and they are everything! The blue sunnies paired with this orange trench truly made the outfit. I got so many compliments on these sunnies on this day and I was loving it. Desi did such an amazing job with her collection and I'm thrilled I got my hands on all three colours of the High Key's since they are so high in demand and always sold out. If and when they ever go back in stock, you MUST get your hands on these. I suggest following Desi Perkins on all of her social media including Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat because she usually announces it on of those sites when they go back in stock. Also, follow Quay on all their social media's as well because they will for sure announce when they are back in stock. I can't wait to be able to wear these blue High Key's for my next tropical vacation!
P.S. If you live in Calgary and looking for a place to get your nails done, I highly suggest TJ Nails in Crowfoot because they do an amazing job!

Day to Night Makeup

Hello beautiesss
Vacation time is one of my all time favourite memories of my life. Travelling inspires me so much and I find these moments of my life to be the most adventurous and most memorable. Usually when I am going on a vacation, I want to be able to see as much as possible of what the place has to offer. This means being out all day and all night just to be able to see as much as I can. For instance, my itinerary for my Vegas vacation in the summer of 2014 was so busy and jam packed but I wouldn't have had it any other way. I had so much fun and was able to see so much of what Vegas had to offer. However, I definitely did not get to see everything I wanted because there are so many fun activities to do in Vegas. This only means that babe and I definitely have to go back soon to be able to see so much more! This time around for our trip, we are going to make sure we are going to use this website to get amazing deals for our vacation. The website offers a variety of discounts including deals for hotels, shows, tours, and clubs. For those who have vacationed in Vegas before then you would know that the city is expensive, so any way to save some money for your trip is helpful! Also, the money saved through this website gives you more money to spend on shopping ;)

Here are some of my photos from my Vegas trip in 2014 with bae. I would like to think that during my Vegas trip I perfected my transition from day to night makeup quite well. There was so much to do and I didn't want to spend too much time getting ready but I wanted to make sure that my glam was Vegas approved.
My day makeup is mainly focused on skin. I still love a full coverage glam during the day but I downplay my eye makeup and lip colour. I focus mainly on medium-full coverage and glowy skin. For my foundation, I like to use my Make Forever Ultra HD Foundation because its medium coverage but feels really lightweight on the skin which is perfect for long wear. The coverage lasts a long time but it still feels as if my skin can breathe so its very comfortable for long wear. To go along with that, I like to use my Naked Skin Weightless concealer by Urban Decay for the same reasons. This concealer is full coverage but super weightless so its comfortable to wear on the skin as well. I think a brightening under eye concealer makes all the difference because it really does make you look more awake. To set my concealer, I use the banana powder from my Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I love this palette because it's so versatile and I use the Sand and Java powder to contour my face. I love conturing because I have a round face so contouring helps slim down the look of my face and gives a bronzing effect as well, which I love because it just completes the makeup look. I also do like to contour my nose because I think its make a really big difference to the finish look. For blush, I use minimal, especially for the day time. My go to blush for years now has got to be my Melba blush by MAC. Now, I am one who loveeeesss her highlight but for day time, I like to keep it a minimal. However, don't get it twisted because I still like to make sure my highlight is poppin'. For day time, I like to use my MAC Soft & Gentle highlight. It makes my skin look healthy and glowy, which is my main focus for day time makeup. For everyday, I like to keep my eye makeup to a minimal so some days I like to skip eye shadow all together. The only time I add eye shadow to my day makeup is when I have the time, and lately my go to palette to use is my Morphe 350 Matte palette. Otherwise, I would usually just apply falsies because it makes my eyes stand out with minimal effort. For everyday, I like to use my Ardell lashes in Double Wispies. I like to skip the eyeliner for day makeup because I find the false lashes makes my eyes pop on its own. For lips, I like to keep it natural looking and for that I have been non stop using my Candy K liquid lipstick by Kylie Jenner
For night makeup I like to play up my eyes and lips much more, especially for a night out in Vegas. Because I have focused on my face makeup for day time, I usually just apply eyeshadow and a darker or more playful colour for my night makeup. I will usually just re-apply my bronzer, blush, and highlight. For highlight, I like to make it more intense, so I like to use my Champagne Pop highlight by Becca x Jaclyn Hill mixed with my That Glow highlight palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills. For my eyes, I still like to use my Morphe eyeshadow palette but I like to use darker colours to create a fierce eye look. I also like to switch up my false lashes to a more dramatic pair and my go to's are my Velour Lashes. These lashes are great for a night out because they're so dramatic and they make your eyes stand out in photos as well. For lips, I like to change it up every night but some of my favourites are Sephora Cream Lip Stain in #13Stone by Dose of Colors, Avenue by ColourPop, and Melted Fig by Too Faced
